PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS AND RULES

DISQUALIFICATION: Failure to display the bib number or race chip visibly, transferring the bib number and race chip to others, deviating from or changing the race route, and altering the official participant number are grounds for disqualification.

CLASSIFICATION: The net time will be measured with disposable chips. The disposable chip distributed to the participants in the race will be valid. For valid classification, runners must pass through the measurement points at the start, turn, and finish points. Bib numbers should not be crumpled, folded, and must be pinned to the chest at the designated points.

CATEGORIES: The top three finishers in the Overall classification will be evaluated as part of the General Classification for the Half Marathon (21K), 10K, and 5K categories. Athletes who place in the General Classification will not be evaluated in the age categories. The categories are: M/F Under 30, M/F 30-39 Years, M/F 40-49 Years, M/F 50 years and above.

• The 5K and Couples stages have only General Classification rankings, with no age categories.

GENERAL RACE RULES: The Gökova Half Marathon race and route control will be carried out by the Turkish Athletics Federation (TAF) and the Official Judges and Classification Team located along the route/finish line. Participants must present identification and sign the waiver to collect their race kits. Each participant must collect their own kit in person. Someone else cannot collect a kit on behalf of another participant.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND: Refunds made after 7 days of registration will be subject to a 30% deduction. For participants who registered with a refundable registration fee, if the cancellation is made by September 9, 2026, the full registration fee will be refunded. Athletes who do not participate in the event may have a friend pick up their kit with a copy of their ID photo. After the event, awards/plaques and kits will not be shipped. Cancellations and refunds will not be accepted after September 9, 2026.

TIME LIMIT: The time limit for the Half Marathon (21K) course is 3 hours. After this time, the entire course will be opened to traffic. Runners still on the course will be able to continue running on the side of the road or sidewalks in a controlled manner.

PICK-UP VEHICLE: The vehicle will follow the last runner.

• IMPORTANT: All athletes running in the 21K stage must present a valid athlete license or a health report issued within the last 6 months when collecting their race kit.

• IMPORTANT: Runners who complete the race after the 3-hour time limit for the Half Marathon will not be included in the classification and will have no claim to a certificate or medal.

• IMPORTANT: Participants who complete the registration process are considered to have read and accepted all the rules of the Gökova Half Marathon.
